Sharps Bedrooms - Thermal Direct Labels - Bespoke system.
Sharps bedrooms approached labels direct with a problem they had a few years ago that they were losing around 7% of individual items to be delivered to customers. Some items were being delivered to the wrong customers some were just being lost.
Sharps bedrooms deliver individual components to a customer then send in a fitter who will assemble the components to create a dream bedroom. Problem is if just one part is missing then a fitter cant complete the job. This causes a problem for the customer as the fitter has to come back and causes an issue for Sharps Bedrooms as they have to pay the fitter for more time and remake the part or panel. Each Mistake on a delivery costs are £100.
Labels Direct stepped in and helped look at the entire process. We designed a label that prevented drivers leaving the factory without each component and that the customer can see and sign for each component.
Sharps had already invested a large amount of money in 2 Zebra thermal direct printers so we knew we would need to work with a THERMAL DIRECT Fanfolded or Roll Label.
First of all we looked at the entire process of design, label printing and production. After a number of concept ideas the final design was an Ultra Peelable label but with our specially deisgned easi peel system which allows for the labels to be printed as usual then each component gets an individual label. The easi peel system allows the delivery driver todelivery all components then once all products have been delivered inside the custoers address. The Easi Peel part of the label can be removed from the label and stuck to a delivery sheet, The driver can then physically see the sheet has all of the easi peel labels stuck to the sheet as the sheet is individually printed for each set of componenets. The customer can also see that all components have been delivered and they can then sign to confirm all parts are present and correct.

Our design is based around the functionality and the use of Front cut/ Back cut/ Ties and manipulation of both grain direction of paper and adhesive. #5547123

Label Printing Our bespoke label product being printed via Standard Thermal Label printers.
Manufacturing - Each panel has a label and each label states the size, Finish Etc - Off to the factory for manufacturing of each panel.
A job file is produced where the labels and manufacturing sheets are held together.
The product on the Job sheet / Label is either picked from stock or made to order.
Once a panel is produced the correct label is stuck to the panel. Our specially formulated extra peel adhesive removes easily without leaving a residue.
Pink Labels are used to show Sharps home office opposed to sharps bedrooms. The same process is used .
Once each item is delivered into the customer home the middle strip is removed from the label and placed onto a delivery sheet.
Delivery sheet where customer signes once all products are delivered and tags have been attached to the sheet.

Volcano coffee approached us to produce a Printed seal label for their specialist coffee products.
Due to the initial small volumes of labels but many different types we opted to provide a digitally printed roll label.
This provided Volcano with a label with no additional plate fees and the print quality they wanted for a retail product.These labels were design, printed and delivered in just a matter of a few days.
Jacobs Foods
Jacobs approached us to supply a large volume of deep freeze labels to them next day as another supplier they used to use couldn't deliver on time !
We stepped in and our manufacturing facility stopped a job on press for stock items and changed to produce the labels for Jacobs over night and used a same day carrier to deliver the labels.
